David is a Partner at MMPS who practices primarily in the Real Estate group. He represents domestic and foreign financial institutions, private equity companies, hedge funds, debt funds, hard money financiers, family offices, mortgage servicers, insurance companies, sponsors and high net worth individuals in commercial real estate financings, developments, acquisitions, dispositions, and ground and space leasing. David has extensive experience with acquisition, construction, bridge, permanent and mezzanine loans secured by commercial real estate, equipment, business assets, and receivables, often involving multiple assets and parties, with participations, syndications, A/B notes, inter-creditor agreements and multiple mezzanine tiers. He is well versed in loan workouts and restructurings, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy and insolvency related issues, and judicial and non-judicial enforcement proceedings, including mortgage foreclosures, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) remedies, deeds-in-lieu, short sales and REO sales (individual and in bulk). Prior to joining the firm, he was General Counsel for a New York City based financial institution for eight years.
