Israel is an associate at MMPS in the Commercial Real Estate Group. His primary focus is on real estate finance across the capital stack, representing financial institutions in structured debt and equity transactions. His practice spans senior secured mortgage, mezzanine, and construction lending, as well as preferred equity, note-on-note, (A/B) arrangements, loan purchases, participations, credit and repurchase facilities, and distressed situations. Prior to joining MMPS, Israel originated and managed bridge loans for a New York-based private lender. He previously worked as a financial analyst at a publicly traded real estate investment services firm, where he underwrote and modeled real estate investments. He gained experience at a boutique commercial litigation firm specializing in enforcement and lending matters and served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Mark I. Partnow in the New York State Supreme Court, supporting foreclosure-related matters. Israel earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he received the CALI Award in Real Estate Development, and his B.S.B.A., cum laude, from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business.
